Ball valves – product group overview
A ball valve is used to shut off liquid or gas flowing in a pipeline, to regulate the flow rate or, in some cases, to change the direction of flow. Its closing element is a ball, which opens and closes with a 90° turn.
Connections can be flanged, butt-weld, threaded, or for installation between flanges: wafer, LUG.
Materials: brass, carbon steel, stainless steel, acid-resistant stainless steel, duplex, plastic
Operation can be by hand lever, gearbox, or electric and pneumatic actuators.
Ball valves are suitable for heating, cooling and steam systems, as well as for chemical, oil and pharmaceutical applications.
