Lens expansion joints
Lens expansion joints manufactured by Klinger are now available up to DN 8000, in carbon steel, stainless steel or nickel alloys, to individual requirements.
Lens expansion joints are extremely durable; thanks to their thick-walled (2/4–2/6 mm) design, they are highly resistant to mechanical damage and corrosion. An ideal choice for heat exchangers and large-diameter pipelines.

- Features: This gasketing material offers excellent chemical resistance, is dimensionally stable and resists the creep and cold flow often associated with conventional PTFE gasket materials.
- Application: Designed for sealing flanges of steel pipes and equipment in a wide range of applications and process conditions.
- Benefits: Stronger and more dimensionally stable than other ePTFE gaskets, and conforms extremely well to rough or irregular sealing surfaces, ensuring a long-lasting seal.

When the system starts up and as operating pressure rises, the valve closes above 0.2–0.3 bar. If the pressure drops below 0.2–0.3 bar, the liquid is discharged.
In the unpressurised state, the spring holds the valve open.
